I love homeschooling and can’t believe I didn’t do this years ago! It has been wonderful for my relationship with both boys. We are having lots of fun together and are enjoying learning at various times of the day and even different days of the week. That frees up other times we can do other things while the rest of the world is at school or work. It’s really just a win-win situation :)
So, not so many photos of Big Bro in school activities (you know, the actual core curriculum) because really how many photos of him at the computer do you need. Also, when I’m doing individual lessons with him…obviously, no photos can be taken. So although there may not be photos of the lessons, just know they are taking place. Little Bro’s activities are more hands-on and therefore lend themselves to more photo ops.
MONDAY
“B” is here so we made some fun Halloween popcorn hands together. Fun!
Then a little fine motor work with shapes while Papa watches on…
A lesson in typing and using homerow keys. “B” and Little Bro with play-doh.
TUESDAY
Cooking activity for the letter “D”…doughnuts for dessert
Creative arts project to finish up Ancient Egypt…a clay pyramid…our nighttime project
WEDNESDAY
Pumpkin grilled cheese with some heart cucumbers. Here’s Papa helping us learn about reading fluency as he reads a reader’s theater script.
Co-op! Here is tle Bro learning about the ins and outs of pumpkins and squash.
Dad and I had to do a bit of repair on Big Bro’s pyramid so it would be ready the next day for painting. Here’s Ala waiting for some attention while we work.
Here’s a fun day at Busch Gardens with some hs friends. Check out the tortoise eat!
Riding rhino rally…shotgun style Big Bro’s first time on cheetah case since it opened years ago! Good job!
A little lunch break under Sheikra…nice time to visit with each other.
FRIDAY
We love Fridays because we do school in the morning and then go to P.E. in the park with friends and a P.E. teacher. Today they did an obstacle course and lots of kickball! They also did a getting to know you game in a circle.
Until next time,
Crystal
