Papa and Daddy joined our Homeschool group on a Deep Sea Fishing trip on Monday.  This was everyone’s first fishing trip.  Big Bro and Lil Bro both caught fish

           Daddy did a great job preparing the fish and frying it up for us!  Yum, it was good!!

 

The start of our Plant unit…science experiment to see if seeds need water to grow.  One bag of lima beans has some water and the other has none.  Not sure what the two older boys are doing. ..it appears that it must be good, though!

                     

                             We put them in the window and had a log to keep track of their growth.

                                       Page 3                                                   Decided to work on library skills today so we went to the library for a lesson in looking for reference materials.  We also worked on looking for books on the online catalog.

To celebrate learning letter Ii, we made homemade ice cream.  It was a team effort to shake the bag for 20 minutes!  But, oh, it was good when it was ready!

Crystal Springs Preserve…Can you find your way?  Orienteering lessons and how to use a compass.  They used a GPS to input coordinates and then locate caches around the spring.

His teacher asked him to close his eyes but look how he squinted when he was supposed to relax.  The next photo is a science experiment we did testing the need we have to use all of our senses together.  Can you tell what flavor ice cream without your ability to see or smell?
