Science day with Mr. Dan with friends. Today’s lesson is on measuring the height of trees using their shadows and measuring the distance to the sun.

Mr. Dan setting up the triangle shaped hole to make our sun reflection…the kids were amazed to see that no matter the shape placed over the mirror, the reflection was always a circle.

Okay, bad idea. Thought we’d go check out the rodeo area since we’d never been but it was too much for me so we promptly left. I think we’ll skip that next year. We did see cows being milked, though, as we were leaving.
Here’s Lil Bro working on sorting objects that begin with various letters into the appropriate lettered cup. His doing all letters from A-H on this day. He did extremely well

Here he is working on his alphabet art book page of the week: Hh for horse. He’s becoming a fantastic artistic and can copy work as well as create his own. Writing practice next.
